Singapore has announced plans to send more repatriation flights to bring stranded citizens home from the Middle East. The first flights arrived at Changi Airport on March 5.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, additional flights will depart from Muscat, Oman, on March 7 and 8.
These flights will prioritize Singaporeans located in Oman and the United Arab Emirates. Around 60% of citizens who have registered online with the ministry are currently in these two countries.
The ministry is also cooperating with airlines and local authorities to arrange more repatriation flights as airports across the region gradually reopen.
