Singapore has announced plans to deploy additional repatriation flights to bring stranded citizens back from the Middle East, following the arrival of the first flights at Changi Airport on March 5.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) confirmed that further repatriation flights will operate from Muscat, Oman, on March 7 and 8.
Priority will be given to Singaporeans currently in Oman and the United Arab Emirates, where approximately 60% of citizens who have electronically registered with the ministry are located.
The MFA is also coordinating with airlines and regional authorities to explore further repatriation options as airports across the Middle East progressively resume operations.
